3.1 Permitted Use

You may use this Website for the purpose of learning about our services, contacting us with enquiries, and accessing publicly available information about family law in Thailand. You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

3.2 Information Only — Not Legal Advice

The content on this Website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Each legal situation is different, and you should seek specific legal advice for your particular circumstances. Reading or using information on this Website does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Sawasdee Law.

You may view and print pages from the Website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Website content without our prior written consent.

5. Enquiries and Contact Forms

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form or contact us by email or telephone, you are initiating a pre-engagement conversation. Submitting an enquiry does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Such a relationship is only established when we have confirmed in writing that we are accepting your matter and you have received and agreed to our engagement letter.

We treat enquiries with discretion. Please do not share highly confidential information in initial website enquiries. We will make more secure channels available once we have made contact.

6. Our Legal Services

6.1 Engagement

When you formally engage Sawasdee Law, we will provide you with an engagement letter setting out the scope of our work, our fees, the expected timeline, and the terms of our professional relationship. The terms of that engagement letter, together with these general Terms, will govern our relationship.

6.2 Fees and Payment

Our service fees are as set out in our engagement letter or as agreed in writing. We may require a deposit before commencing work. Our fees are denominated in Thai Baht (THB). Payments should be made in accordance with the terms of your engagement letter. We reserve the right to suspend work if invoices are not paid in a timely manner.

6.3 Scope of Services

We will provide services only as described in your engagement letter. Any extension of scope will require our written agreement. We practise family law in Thailand; we do not advise on foreign law except to the extent that we coordinate with qualified advisors in other jurisdictions as described in your engagement.

6.4 Termination of Engagement

You may terminate our engagement at any time by written notice. We may terminate our engagement in limited circumstances, including non-payment of fees, conflict of interest, or if we are required to do so by professional conduct rules. Upon termination, you remain responsible for fees for work completed up to the date of termination.

6.5 Confidentiality

We maintain strict professional confidentiality in relation to all client matters. Information you share with us in the context of a legal engagement is protected by legal professional privilege under Thai law. We will not disclose your information except as set out in our Privacy Policy, as required by law, or as you authorise us to do.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Thai law, Sawasdee Law's liability in connection with the use of this Website is excluded, including for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from reliance on Website content.

Our liability in connection with professional legal services is subject to the terms of your engagement letter and applicable professional indemnity obligations. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Third-Party Links

This Website may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of any external website. Your use of external websites is subject to their own terms and conditions.

9. Cookies and Privacy

Our use of cookies is governed by our Cookie Policy. The handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using this Website, you acknowledge that you have read both policies.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of this Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do so, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
